We are looking for an ambitious and experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth, build strategic relationships, and secure new opportunities within these sectors.Key Responsibilities:Market Research and Strategy Development: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential opportunities in the infrastructure sector, particularly in water, rail, and electrical. Develop and execute business development strategies to target new clients and expand our market presence.Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including Tier 1 builders and government agencies. Serve as the main point of contact, ensuring client satisfaction and ongoing engagement.Lead Generation and Networking: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and cold outreach. Leverage your network to generate leads and convert them into long-term partnerships.Proposal and Tender Management: Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling proposals and tender submissions. Ensure that bids are aligned with client needs and project requirements, and that all documentation is clear, competitive, and timely.Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date sales pipeline, tracking prospects from initial contact through to contract negotiation and project delivery. Provide regular updates and reports on sales activities, progress, and forecasts.Strategic Partnerships: Identify and develop partnerships with key industry players, including subcontractors, suppliers, and technology providers. Explore potential collaborations that align with the company's growth objectives.Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and estimators to ensure that client expectations are clearly understood and met. Help translate business development efforts into successful project delivery.Revenue Growth: Achieve sales and revenue targets by securing new contracts and maximizing opportunities within existing accounts. Contribute to the overall growth of the company by driving business expansion in targeted sectors.Qualifications and Skills:Proven Experience: Extensive experience in business development within the infrastructure, construction, or engineering sectors. A strong background in water, rail, and road projects is highly desirable.Educational Background: A degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the infrastructure industry, including key players, market trends, and competitive landscape. Familiarity with the tendering and contracting process is essential.Networking and Relationship-Building: Excellent networking skills with a proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships. Ability to establish credibility and trust with stakeholders at all levels.Sales and Negotiation Skills: Strong sales acumen with a history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
