About the Role
We are seeking an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to actively secure and retain new customers, focusing on clients importing into Australia.
This role is particularly centred around the Perth area and aims to maximise sales through prospecting, nurturing, and building strong ongoing client relationships.
The role will enhance the reputation of our client as a professional, successful, and trustworthy freight forwarder.

Key Responsibilities Understand the needs of customers importing into Perth with a strong focus on the retail market and industry trends in freight forwarding and logistics.Develop and execute growth strategies focused on new business and customer satisfaction.Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing customers.Promote project logistics services, aligning with client objectives to ensure satisfaction.Prepare quotes for new and existing customers while adhering to legal and regulatory guidelines.Maintain accurate records of sales, revenue, and client profiles using CRM tools.Attend sales meetings and provide regular reports to management.Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities. Your Expertise Proven experience in forwarding, freight, and logistics industries.A strong understanding of the retail market and how it impacts the logistics and freight forwarding sectors.Strong negotiation and sales skills with the ability to engage customers and prospects.Excellent communication skills and cultural awareness to build trust with diverse clients.Experience using CRM tools to manage leads and client data.A strategic mindset with the ability to analyse trends and develop innovative client solutions.
