The Role: We are currently seeking a skilled applicant with a background in Sales and Business Development with a knowledge of Security and Technology who focuses on excelling in their role through competitive and accurate pricing, meeting the requirements and expectations of key customers.
This role will focus on customers such as Commercial, Infrastructure and Defence while focusing on building and maintaining customer portfolios and future-proofing business growth by delivering a range of technology and solutions including but not limited to Access control Systems, Video Management and intercom solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare system designs where required and compile major project tenders/quotations from tender specifications and documents received and or information received from sales staff.Prepare associated tender/quotation submission documents including drawings, write-ups, responses to specifications, clarifications, qualifications, tender schedules etc.Communicate with customers and attend site surveys (when required) to obtain relevant project/site information to allow compilation of tenders/quotations.Attend and participate in tender review meetings and or customer presentations as required to support the sales team on a technical level.Work with staff to improve their technical understanding of systems.Confidentiality with internal information strategy being handled.Negotiate with suppliers to ensure that we are getting best price and formal evidence to suit bid.Maintain the company's Quality Assurance systems.Tendering by providing equipment schedules, cable schedules, preliminary designs and labour estimates.Assist in the development of new business areas and/or improve existing business areas.Contribute and collaborate with SEME national sales manager and SEME sales team members to provide a unified approach for tender and pricing submissions.Attend monthly national sales meetings to discuss customer delivery improvements and tenders in progress.Follow SEME solutions sales practices, policies and estimation standards.Essential Skills and Experience: Knowledge of Security products, CCTV, access control and Intercom.Well-developed analytical skills.Portfolio management and proven customer service satisfaction.Commercial Experience in identifying contract commercial risk.Management of customer expectations.Expert product and site application skills.Analytical skills in reviewing activities and identifying key actions to deliver improvement.Execution of verifiable productivity and process improvements to complex operations.Willingness and flexibility for site visits/travel.Excellent communication, customer service focus.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Scheduling and submitting tenders and pricing prior to required deadlines.Company expected skill sets: Teamwork.Willingness to request and receive feedback and advice.Ability to work with internal staff for peer reviews.Customer relationship management.Drive to deliver a high quantity of estimations while keeping accurate and fair pricing for customers.What SEME Offers: A dynamic, inclusive, and collaborative work culture.Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.Competitive salary and benefits package including vehicle allowance and fuel card.Training on Project management tools including Pronto, Aconex and Microsoft Project.Support for staff with a backup approach to manning & Management.Long term employment, SEME have staff with +15 years employment history for field staff & +20 years for management staff.Additional info: SEME are a National business with offices in Perth, Brisbane, MacKay and Adelaide.WA field staff 40+.WA Management and Admin 24+ staff.Successful applicant will report directly to SEME General Manager + National Sales Manager.Perth CBD-based role with site visit requirements.Monday – Friday.This role will require a pre-employment Medical.Free on-site Gym.Free access to state-of-the-art end-of-trip facilities with change rooms, showers, lockers, drying rooms, towel service and secure bike racks.How To apply:To express your interest, click the Apply button and include a detailed resume that highlights your relevant experience.
