Business Development ManagerDrive business development functions for a WA-based OEM with a fabrication and maintenance business servicing the mining industry. The company is large enough to work with big clients, whilst still nimble and agile with a great culture.
Harry Maxwell has been engaged to conduct an executive search for an up-and-coming Original Equipment Manufacturer headquartered out of Perth. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Executive General Manager and will be responsible for developing a sales pipeline of HME rebuilds and the sale of new assets.
Key Responsibilities:Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients understanding their needs.Contribute sales and client information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans.Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging market research, industry networks, and client relationships.Conduct weekly site visits to clients.Collaborate with sales and technical teams to develop compelling proposals and tenders that highlight value propositions and address client requirements.Provide sales support to the Operations & Design team when required.Develop and support the sales department's targets, allocating time and resources appropriately to achieve optimal return on investment.Work closely with all staff in the sale of new products and improvements with new and existing product ranges.Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring feedback is communicated appropriately.About You:Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field or a relevant Trade Qualification.Technical Knowledge of Heavy Earthmoving equipment, excavators, loaders, and trucks.Trained in the use of CRM software and sales performance tracking tools.7 - 10 years of previous sales and business development experience with mining equipment.A deep understanding of sales strategies, including market segmentation, target setting, and sales funnel management.Skilled in negotiation, ability to handle complex sales deals, and collaboration with clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively communicating and assisting others by sharing knowledge and experience.You will also need full rights to work, a valid Driver's License and the ability to travel domestically when required.
