FREECHOICE was established in 1991 and we currently have over 290 stores around the country. We are one of Australia's largest specialist retailers in Tobacco and related products. With successful Retail and Vending Operations nationally, FREECHOICE is a leader in the industry.
We are currently seeking an experienced business development manager to report to the General Manager in our corporate office, located in Upper Coomera. This is a full-time, permanent position.
The role:
Establish relationships with all Franchisees in assigned Region
Maintain and grow franchise base within assigned Region
Ensuring understanding and compliance for all aspects of the franchisee to agreements
Resolve franchisee queries and issues
Add value via business building support to franchisees, enabling profit maximization
Supporting stores to remain compliant to manufacturer trading terms and rebate opportunities
Preparation of all documents associated with franchisee contract renewals, new franchisees and site change of ownerships
Assist in all aspects of new franchisee openings, from store location, setup, to trade
Source quality new franchisees to grow our network
Training and support for the franchise network.
Key Performance Indicators
In-field store visitation in line with frequency expectations
Franchisee network growth (renewals and acquisitions)
Franchisee performance
Position Requirements
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Management.
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to analyse reports with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Understanding of retail operations within a franchisee model
Experience in coaching and compliance to high operational standards
An ability to have difficult conversations
High level ability to work autonomously, prioritise and multitask
Qualifications
Demonstrated success in driving sales and operations within the FMCG or retail sector.
Experience in the tobacco industry is highly regarded.
