Built on partnerships and deep industry expertise, the Oztix team consists of passionate people dedicated to delivering successful events and has a strong & experienced leadership team.The business case for this roleOztix's expansion into sectors outside of music has seen it go through a substantial growth phase and there is a need for someone to help continue this growth trajectory to help Oztix build the right foundation to service their current and future partners effectively.Hiring a Business Development Manager dedicated to these growing sectors will be pivotal in driving Oztix's next phase of growth.Role OverviewThe Business Development Manager will be at the forefront of Oztix's expansion into a range of industry sectors including Tourism, Government and Sporting events. This strategic role involves identifying new business opportunities, building long-term relationships, and driving growth beyond Oztix's traditional music-centric focus. The successful candidate will be responsible for devising and executing a go-to-market strategy that aligns with the company's ambitious goals.Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Research & Strategy: Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify key trends, opportunities, and competitive insights in new sectors and develop a robust business development strategy tailored to each sector.Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Build, manage, and nurture relationships with government agencies, sports organisations, venue operators, tourism operators and potential partners in order to establish Oztix as a trusted ticketing partner within these industries.Sales Development & Target Achievement: Drive revenue growth by meeting and exceeding sales targets, lead negotiations and close high-value contracts through a strategic pipeline of new business opportunities.Proposal Development & Pitching: Prepare and deliver high-quality proposals, presentations, and pitches that are tailored to the unique requirements of government and sports clients and showcase Oztix's strengths, technology and value proposition.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including Marketing, Innovation, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure that the solutions provided meet the clients' needs and enhance customer satisfaction.Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise data insights to inform sales strategies, track progress, and adjust tactics as needed to maximise impact and regularly report on sales metrics, market feedback and opportunities for improvement.Event Attendance & Networking: Stay informed about industry developments and trends while representing Oztix at industry conferences, networking events and client meetings to build brand awareness and gather market intelligence. There will be a significant level of interstate travel required to build personal relationships and fully understand potential partners' business.Product Customisation & Innovation: Collaborate with the Product and Technology teams to tailor Oztix's existing platforms to meet the specific demands of new prospects and advocate for product improvements based on client feedback and market needs.Key QualificationsExperience: 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably within the entertainment, government, sports or tourism sectors. Demonstrated success in leading sales initiatives and securing high-value contracts.Networking Skills: Exceptional networking and relationship-building abilities. Proven ability to develop and maintain strong connections with stakeholders at all levels.Strategic Thinker: Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate market trends and client needs into actionable business development strategies.
