About the role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager / Business Development Manager to cultivate and strengthen our relationship with our key client, whilst also seeking out new business opportunities both within existing partnerships and with prospective clients.
This role requires a proactive approach to collaboration, ensuring that we consistently deliver an efficient and transparent claims process while upholding the highest ethical standards. The KAM/BDM will also focus on business expansion by identifying growth opportunities and fostering strategic partnerships.
Duties: Serve as the primary point of contact for our client, ensuring open and consistent communication and a deep understanding of their needs.Collaborate closely with our client to create an effective claims process for their customers.Identify new business opportunities within the existing Suncorp relationship, including different loss types and regions or by introducing new services.Seek out and engage new clients, ensuring alignment of their needs with our solutions.Build a robust pipeline of potential clients and partnerships that contribute to business growth.Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth within existing accounts and new markets.Provide regular reports on account performance, client satisfaction, and potential business development opportunities.Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment of business development initiatives with broader organizational goals.Address client concerns promptly and professionally, maintaining strong trust and fostering long-term partnerships.Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).Proven experience in account management, business development, or sales, ideally within the insurance or claims management industry.Professional certifications in project management, account management, or business development are advantageous.A minimum of 5 years' experience in a client-facing role with a track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.Enjoy working in a high-performing, collaborative team environment.Technical Knowledge / Skills: Strong ability to maintain and grow relationships with key clients, with a focus on delivering high-quality service and fostering trust.Solid understanding of the claims management process, with the ability to drive efficiencies and improvements in claims handling.Proven ability to identify business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships.Skilled in prospecting, pipeline management, and negotiation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels and translate complex processes into understandable terms.Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of client projects and high satisfaction.Demonstrated commitment to upholding high ethical standards and ensuring transparency in all business dealings.Ability to analyze performance data and trends, using insights to improve processes and provide recommendations to clients.Experience with claims management systems, CRM platforms, and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Competitive remuneration package including superannuation, laptop, iPad, phone, ongoing training and support for professional development, and a vehicle (or allowance if appropriate) + fuel card.
