Based in our Brisbane office as a member of our fast-growing local team of over 35 people, as a BDM you will provide innovative and efficient solutions to meet the evolving needs of our clients. Through our strategic partnerships with tier-one technology vendors, we ensure that our clients receive the best products and services available in the market. Developing and maintaining a strong trusted relationship with our vendor partners will be key to your success.
Position Overview  The BDM is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth within the Queensland market. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of infrastructure technology solutions and a proven track record of success in business development within the technology sector. This role requires strong strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively position our services to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities: Business Development: Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in the Queensland technology sector, focusing on infrastructure sales and associated implementation and management services.Vendor collaboration: Maintain and grow our trusted partnership with Tier 1 vendors, such as Dell Technologies. This role will work closely with the internal Dell Technologies team and must ensure a collaborative approach to market.Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients in Queensland, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.Market Research: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential business opportunities within Queensland.Sales Strategy: Collaborate within he sales team to develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth objectives.Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling proposals, presentations, and demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting the value of our technology solutions.Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring sounds financial outcomes whilst managing customer expectations and needs.Internal collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including technical and delivery teams, to ensure seamless delivery of solutions and services to clients.Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, sales pipeline, and performance metrics.Industry Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential clients and stay informed about industry developments within Queensland.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent industry experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the technology sector.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.Strong understanding of technology solutions, including managed services and infrastructure implementation.Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach to business development.Experience with CRM software and sales tools.Willingness to travel as needed within Queensland.What We Offer: Competitive salary and commission structure.Opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative team.Professional development and growth opportunities.Engaging and collaborative work environment.Support from our strategic partnerships with tier-one technology vendor partners.
