The Company
Crane Services, located in Wingfield, has been operating for 20 years with a zero harm record, and is one of the largest hirers of mobile cranes in Adelaide, while also servicing and overhauling heavy equipment for clients, as well as their own fleet.
Part of a wider company group employing 200 people, including Hully and Hully Foundations, the company is well positioned in market, servicing clients such as builders, developers, government, civil contractors, renewable companies and the like. Crane Services' unique value proposition includes:
 
A full suite of mobile cranes from 2.5t mini crawler cranes to a 400t all-terrain mobile crane, providing a full suite of options and large scale operation that comes with broad team support; The ability to develop vertically integrated sub-structures for clients, from the ground up; including piling, foundations, concrete formwork and precast, crane usage (installs, components and rigs), machinery installation, and steel erection; making Crane Services a valuable partner to Tier 1 construction companies - offering what other crane companies aren't able to; A large percentage of modern new cranes within the fleet; Complete internal servicing capability – employing a large dedicated team of highly experienced heavy equipment mechanics for reliability and safety, setting Crane Services apart in industry; Full internal civil and mechanical engineering capability, with highly skilled Project Managers; Strategically located depot locations for cost and time efficiencies; Full ISO accreditations and project management scheduling tools; A highly collaborative team, working together to ensure the smooth execution of jobs. The Role
As the Business Development Manager for Crane Services, you will report directly into the General Manager, strategically identifying new business opportunities and fostering strong relationships with clients.
You will have unrestricted territory and the chance to build mutually beneficial relationships across the group internally to leverage your input and outcomes. A highly skilled technical team is available to assist you in bringing deals to a close, and you are encouraged to work in a collaborative way.
Generating and implementing effective lead generation strategies forms part of the role, including networking, cold calling, attending events and monitoring tender portals. You will prepare and present proposals with the input of the team, requiring you to become familiar with cost structures and pricing of equipment and labour.
Client entertainment is paid for by the company within reason, where a return on investment is identified, and this will ultimately align with the results you generate.
Salary
$120,000 - $135,000 + Super + Car + Phone, laptop & iPad + Discretionary Bonus.
Requirements Proven business development experience, meeting or exceeding sales targets; The ability to self manage workflow and activity, taking personal pride and accountability for delivering positive sales results for the company and team; The ability to develop rapport, get the time and attention of decision makers, understand and uncover the needs of clients, and develop and communicate solutions that resonate well clients and deliver profitable results; Excellent communication skills; A passion for thinking strategically and identifying opportunities; Experience in technical sales preferred, or at least strong demonstration of your ability to sell a technical service.
