The Role
As the Business Development Manager for Crane Services, you will report directly into the General Manager, strategically identifying new business opportunities and fostering strong relationships with clients.
You will have unrestricted territory and the chance to build mutually beneficial relationships across the group internally to leverage your input and outcomes. A highly skilled technical team is available to assist you in bringing deals to a close, and you are encouraged to work in a collaborative way.
Generating and implementing effective lead generation strategies forms part of the role, including networking, cold calling, attending events and monitoring tender portals. You will prepare and present proposals with the input of the team, requiring you to become familiar with cost structures and pricing of equipment and labour.
Client entertainment is paid for by the company within reason, where a return on investment is identified, and this will ultimately align with the results you generate.
Salary
$120,000 - $135,000 + Super + Car + Phone, laptop & iPad + Discretionary Bonus.
Requirements Proven business development experience, meeting or exceeding sales targets; The ability to self manage workflow and activity, taking personal pride and accountability for delivering positive sales results for the company and team; The ability to develop rapport, get the time and attention of decision makers, understand and uncover the needs of clients, and develop and communicate solutions that resonate well clients and deliver profitable results; Excellent communication skills; A passion for thinking strategically and identifying opportunities; Experience in technical sales preferred, or at least strong demonstration of your ability to sell a technical service.
