We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Business Development Manager to join our Hire Division in Bathurst, NSW.This position is a key part of our growth strategy in the Hire Division, and we welcome motivated and dedicated professionals to join our team to drive success and make a meaningful impact.Position SummaryThe Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and providing tailored dewatering solutions for customers in the mining and civil sectors. This role requires building and maintaining strong client relationships, identifying and capturing new business opportunities, and collaborating closely with the workshop Technician team to ensure repairs and servicing meet customer needs. The successful candidate will have a proactive approach to client engagement, a deep understanding of our products, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesSales and Business DevelopmentIdentify new business opportunities in the mining and civil sectors and develop tailored dewatering solutions for client requirements.Achieve sales targets and KPIs by actively seeking new clients and expanding business with existing customers.Maintain a robust sales pipeline, monitoring leads, opportunities, and customer accounts using CRM systems.Conduct market research and competitor analysis to develop strategies that increase market share in the Hire Division.Client Relationship ManagementBuild and nurture long-term relationships with key clients and industry stakeholders to position Truflo Pumps as the preferred provider for dewatering solutions.Conduct regular site visits and client meetings to understand customer needs and ensure our solutions meet their expectations.Provide clients with technical information, solution recommendations, and guidance on product selection to enhance customer satisfaction and trust.Collaboration with Field Technician TeamWork closely with the workshop Technician team to coordinate repairs, servicing, and equipment maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and optimal customer experience.Liaise between clients and technical teams to resolve any issues promptly, ensuring high service standards are met.Provide feedback from clients to the technical team to continually improve service quality and product reliability.Proposal and Contract ManagementPrepare and present quotations, proposals, and contracts tailored to customer specifications, including accurate pricing and service timelines.Negotiate contract terms and agreements to secure sales while adhering to company policies and maximising profitability.Product Knowledge and TrainingMaintain a comprehensive understanding of Truflo Pumps' dewatering products, equipment, and services, including technical specifications and usage.Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and competitor offerings to provide knowledgeable advice to clients and maintain a competitive edge.Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for clients as needed.Reporting and DocumentationPrepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and activity logs to management.Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities in the company's CRM system, ensuring transparency and data integrity.Report on client feedback, industry trends, and opportunities for improvement to support strategic decision-making.Key Competencies and SkillsSales and Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated experience in achieving sales targets and securing business through effective negotiation and relationship-building.Technical Aptitude: Understanding of dewatering pumps and equipment in mining and civil applications is highly preferred.Customer Focus: Strong dedication to understanding and meeting customer needs with a commitment to building lasting client relationships.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with clients, presenting proposals, and collaborating internally.Problem Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and addressing client issues or concerns with timely, effective solutions.Time Management: Ability to manage multiple client accounts, site visits, and follow-up tasks efficiently.Working ConditionsPrimarily based in Bathurst, NSW, with regular travel to client sites as required.Valid driver's license is required.Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably within mining or civil industries.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing client relationships.Knowledge of dewatering equipment and services is highly advantageous.This is a rare opportunity to join an employer of choice within regional NSW.To ApplyPlease submit your CV via Seek, including a short cover letter to let us know what makes you a great candidate for this role.
