Oxford Economics Australia is looking to hire a high-calibre Business Development Manager who will contribute to the expansion of the consultancy business in Australia. As a Business Development Manager, you will work with experienced economists, develop new business strategies, build relationships, and contribute to brand-building efforts. This role offers a competitive salary package, including an uncapped commission scheme and regular pay reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with economic consulting and in-house marketing teams to develop new business development strategies for consulting sales in Australia, aiming to reach established sales targets. Organize and facilitate executive round table events.
Drive sales of OE's services by sourcing opportunities from cold calls, emails, incoming inquiries, and existing relationships.
Develop a strong knowledge of consulting services, articulate and demonstrate these services' value to prospects.
Research companies to gain intelligence, identify key individuals for sales opportunities.
Communicate opportunities, challenges, product development requests, and feedback to the team, keep CRM updates.
Maintain knowledge of local and global economic and business trends.
Grow the team through recruitment, training, and oversight of junior members.
The Business Development Manager will sell services such as corporate economic impact studies, sustainability reports, cost-benefit analysis, construction forecasts, market research reports, and socio-economic impact studies.
Skills and Experience:
Proven sales track record (3-7 years).
Understanding of industry, business strategies, and the public sector.
Experience working across different stakeholders/territories.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.
Strong presentation and writing skills.
Familiarity with Salesforce preferred.
Self-starter with the drive to set and reach ambitious goals.
Team player.
