Business Development Manager – Construction & Mobile Crane Equipment Globally recognised industry leader has offices listed throughout Australia, operating in over 78 countries and employing over 8,000 staff. With new equipment coming mid next year, and the business already established with major hire companies like Coates and Kennards, you will thrive in working for a Global equipment OEM. The business has just lost a key staff member to a major competitor, and they need to refill this role quickly and efficiently. The competitor had been trying to recruit this rep for over 12 months, leaving behind a treasure trove of key accounts that cannot be touched due to a non-compete agreement, allowing you to walk into an unbelievable list of key customers already buying hundreds of machines.
Job Opportunity - This role has its challenges, as there are some tough customers, but over the years they have been placing significant orders due to securing major projects. You will be tasked with building relationships, cold calling, and tracking down ongoing projects. A real passion for sales and strong customer service skills are essential to drive these relationships forward. The equipment ranges from $15,000 to $680,000, providing a vast selection of machines to choose from, with markets including local hire companies, national hire, local councils, construction companies, facilities management, and key contractors. Full training on the specialist equipment is provided, but we require a proven BDM who not only knows the equipment but has the relationships to hit the ground running.

Willingness to travel and source customers throughout the state. Sales hunter mentality and passion for winning state accounts. Team player, passionate, and self-motivated. Salary Package – On offer is lucrative earning potential with exceptional commissions; the two other reps earn roughly $60,000 to $70,000 on top of their base salary. Full training is provided, and you will also be sent to major earthmoving OEMs for product and service training.
