Position Specific Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager will be expected to deliver Business Development Excellence by role modelling effective business development techniques, ensuring quality and mutually beneficial partnerships.
As the Business Development Manager, you will work within a team of professionals responsible for generating high quality home lending opportunities for Home Lenders through the Workplace & Employee Banking Program. You will generate these new business opportunities through supporting your peers/lenders in establishing and managing corporate partnerships.
About the Business Customer Service Network (CSN) is the public face of CommBank, delivering a seamless banking experience for our 10 million + personal and small business customers.You will be an integral part of the Workplace & Employee Banking Program.This business delivers specialist financial solutions to people, businesses, and communities nationally.Your main responsibilities will be to: Play an integral part in identifying, nurturing, and developing our business.Drive an operational culture of continuous improvement.Generate visibility for the 'Commonwealth Bank' brand in the marketplace.The Business Development Manager will be expected to deliver on the following key areas:
Stakeholder Management by developing and maintaining relationships with Lenders and their Managers across various banking segments.Business Strategy by identifying and implementing areas of growth and improvement within your portfolio.Risk Management by assessing and identifying potential risks that may hinder the reputation and financial prosperity of the Commonwealth Bank.Your key relationships will comprise of: Institutional Banking and their companiesYour immediate peers throughout Australia.Customer Service Network & Mobile Premier Banking Leadership Team.Other internal departments including Corporate Bank, Business Banking and Private.We're interested in hearing from people who have: Proven ability to source, establish and manage relationships with external business partners.Demonstrated understanding of residential lending processes and terminology.Expertise in establishing and maintaining relationships with strategic business partners.Technology Skills for navigating and applying Bank systems.Relevant financial services experience or a business-related degree (economics, marketing, finance, business).Demonstrated capability and experience in business development roles.Your Development
