The Role:Business Development Lead We are looking for a mission-oriented business development team member to lead outbound business development for our tech-enabled carbon project development services and support the entire sales process from prospecting to contracting.
Your role will be to help scale and standardize the sales process to support 100% yoy growth in 2024 and 2025, manage customer relationships from initial sale to contract closing, and be an external representative of the company at conferences and events.
Youwill also be responsible for testing messaging and sales opportunities to pursuemore complex opportunities for corporate clients including insetting, advisory, carbon project investments, and offtake agreements.
Responsibilities Lead outbound sales for specific clients seeking carbon developmentservices, generating new business opportunities through proactive outreach effortsinvolvingcold calling, emailing, networking, or other methods to connect with potential clients.Work collaboratively with a high-caliber business development team of 3-4 people committed to the mission of ecosystem restoration on all phases of aprojectcycle from prospecting to closeTrack customer interactions inHubspot CRMUse your network of contacts at corporates, NGOs, governments, and large landowners to drive early partnership opportunities and salesParticipate in organic Earthshot networking and marketing through Linkedin, webinars, events,conferencesSkills and qualities for the role A deep love for nature and a desire to help build a more integrated future for humanity within it3-5+ years of carbon market experience as a credit buyer, investor, developer, regulator, trader, andfounder.Relevant experience in similar or related industries such as outbound sales in new andemergingmarkets in developing countries and developing and securing businessopportunitieswith corporate,government, and NGO partners.Deep industry expertise and existing corporate/NGO/government customer networkHighly motivated, loves relationship building and networking, desire to own the end-to-end sales process from initial contact to close while being a team playerHighly motivated to work with the partnerships team in a well-coordinated manner to achieve wildly important goalsSelf-starter who can set goals, prioritize tasks, and drive projects forward.Strong communication skills to effectively convey the value proposition of the company's services to potential clientsWorking at Earthshot We are a close community of international team members working remotely.
