Why you will love this opportunity as Business Development Director at Civica We are seeking a Business Development Director to steer our growth and go to market strategy, setting the standard for top tier new business performance across our Libraries and Education vertical. In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for driving new business initiatives, strengthening key relationships, and leading high-performing teams to achieve ambitious growth targets. You'll operate in an individual contributor role - whilst also ensuring the team is set up for success and contributes to the overall growth targets of the wider business.
You'll have the opportunity to set cadence, rigor and best in class new business and GTM tactics, uplifting the overall performance of the team. This is a greenfield role where you will play a role in systems and process optimisation to maximise output and growth. You'll work alongside our Sales Managers to identify opportunities for cross sell, upsell and lead optimisation.
Requirements What you'll do to be successful in this role Demonstrate your extensive experience in leading and developing high-performing teams of Business Development professionalsHave a wealth of knowledge, experience and ability to execute when it comes to selling SaaS Software solutionsLead, demonstrate and execute best in class business development strategies, tactics and sales methodologiesDevelop and execute clear, effective strategies that align with business goals and drive growthBring a deep understanding of public sector operations, particularly in Government, Healthcare, or EducationExecute your ability to achieve sales targets and manage complex sales processesHelp shape team structures, territory splits and quotas to incentivise teams to hit growth & revenue numbersFlex your exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levelsDemonstrate strong analytical skills to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and make data-driven decisionsShow outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with experience in delivering presentations to key stakeholdersHave experience working in global matrixed organisations with an ability to adapt to change and transformationBe passionate about leading and developing world class teamsHave a flexible approach, and be willing to work across time zones when required in order to connect with our global sales and BD counterpartsWe encourage candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply, as we believe it makes us a stronger organization.
