Business Development – Channel Management A bit about the company to start withWe have recently met with a company who specializes in clothing from a First Nation perspective, highlighting the culture through art in the form of clothing, with a commitment to quality merchandise. The products tap into and reward the variety of input from artists around the country. The working area encompasses Australia, with an initial focus on the Eastern Seaboard.
Up until now, the work has come through organically, without the involvement of a specialist Business Development Manager. Now that the company has become established, management is looking towards a phase of growth to take the company from small to medium size, and to do that, they need the right person to present their product to the market.
Some details about the role itselfThe role is to develop marketing and sales strategies to reach the widest possible customer base. The company is full of enthusiastic people who know what they are doing. The products are potentially relevant to anyone within our country's population, so the possibilities are endless.
We are looking for someone who has experience with a variety of methodologies, understands sales funnels, and has the ability to promote products via different channels including:
DistributorsRetailersE-commerce platformsYour skills in listening are key to this role, allowing you to understand and identify the best possible connections between the product and potential customers. Listening is just as important as talking in the sales process, and it will show your prospective clients that you understand them and their business.
