Our client, Integrated Maintenance Management Services, an Australian company based in Brisbane, is currently seeking to appoint a Business Development and Sales Manager.
In this newly created role, you will oversee the sales process and manage day-to-day sales, as well as build, implement, and develop new sales leads by identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new business opportunities.
IMMS has a mission to build client capability in the digital transformation of shutdown & turnaround management, predominantly in the mining industry; however, it is not limited to mine sites alone. IMMS has two arms: 'digital' and 'implementation', which strive to deliver 'ultimate user experience' and 'ultimate shutdown performance'.
The product you will be pitching is SMSi, which is already live with some of the world's most progressive resource organizations, enhancing event readiness, boosting plant availability, and significantly reducing maintenance shutdown costs. You'll collaborate directly with the founder and CEO, along with his sterling Australian-based team of industry experts and seasoned shutdown practitioners with over 50 years of combined experience. SMSi's easy-to-use cloud-based technology and high user adoption rates mean sites can pre-plan their events and seamlessly coordinate activities across teams. This is an intuitive collaborative platform that gives companies a visual representation of all stages of their site shutdowns.
About the role: Identify, pursue, and engage new business opportunities from a well-established and known mining industry network. Research and develop new business opportunities. Engage leads and move them through the sales cycle swiftly. Build strong rapport and maintain customer relationships with existing clients. Develop presentations and sales proposals to prospective clients. Assist in tendering for future business growth. Attend industry networking events, conferences, and other business opportunities to positively represent the company and drive brand awareness. There will be an expectation of regular national and potentially international travel as part of the duties of this role. What we are looking for: Demonstrated and proven track record in a senior sales role within the mining industry, preferably within fixed processing plants. Trade/Degree qualification is desirable but not essential for the role. In-depth understanding of asset management in the mining sector, preferably within fixed plant. Strong leadership and communication skills. Credibility, integrity, and a stoic work ethic. A self-starter who is driven for a truly dynamic opportunity. High-level ability to build and foster relationships.
