Business Development Advisor (Volunteer)
To work closely with the Employment Service team to provide comprehensive job market research and grow ASC Partners Employers network.

5 hours per week

Employment Manager
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop a business development plan that meets the Employment Service team's guidelines & needs.
Implement a business development plan, when required.
Create a pipeline of potential employer partners.
Create and attend meetings with potential employer partners.
Ensure potential employer partners adhere to minimum employment standards.
Advocate on behalf of job seekers.
Provide weekly updates on progress to the Employment Service team.
Ensure accurate up-to-date information is captured & shared with the Employment Service team.
Support the Employment Service team in monitoring and identifying market trends.
Selection Criteria
Experience working in recruitment, business development or leader/expert in chosen industry.
Excellent communication skills, including cross-cultural sensitivity.
Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills.
Willingness to develop a sound understanding of issues affecting people seeking asylum within the current Australian context.
Experience working with people from various backgrounds and cultures.
Good computer skills (confidence in using Google Drive, the internet and email).
Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and volunteers.
Ability to adapt effectively to change.
Ability to think innovatively and creatively to solve problems.
Ability to adhere to policies in relation to code of conduct, boundaries and confidentiality.

Act at all times in accordance with ASC's Code of Conduct and Child Protection Policies.
Comply with Work, Health and Safety systems.
Comply with Incident Management Procedures and emergency protocols.
Demonstrate a respectful and welcoming behaviour with all people at ASC in culturally appropriate ways.
Undertake a NSW Working with Children Check prior to commencement and ensure it is up-to-date.
Support a child safe organisation by undertaking screening for suitability to work with children and vulnerable people and to comply with relevant state/territory legislative requirements.
