The Business Development Advisor is responsible for fostering and maintaining strong relationships with a dedicated panel of Vero and GIO Workers' Compensation brokers. They work closely with underwriting, claims, and credit teams to provide customer-focused service and resolve issues. Additionally, the role involves setting objectives with high-potential brokers, managing broker activities, and driving goals related to GWP retention, profitable growth, and broker satisfaction.
What you'll doBuild and maintain strong relationships with key staff in broker panel offices, understanding each broker's business and aligning with service and value propositions.Collaborate with internal teams, including underwriters, claims, credit control, and SDM, to ensure customer-focused broker service and resolve issues.Develop SMART objectives and activities aimed at achieving retention, profitable growth, and broker satisfaction.Manage and prioritize activities to maximize outcomes, addressing broker queries and delivering quality solutions.Identify and qualify new business opportunities while promoting Vero | GIO W/Comp's service, value propositions, and product features.Gather and share market intelligence to improve competitive positioning and occasionally visit broker offices to provide training.
What you'll bringANZIF Certificate, Diploma in Financial Services, or Degree qualification is highly regarded.Successful experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable.Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative commercial partnerships, networks, and relationships.Strong skills in adapting communication styles for various audiences, delivering presentations, facilitating meetings, writing proposals, and negotiating to achieve outcomes.Demonstrated capability in developing and executing business plans/strategies with SMART objectives.Skilled in researching and analysing information to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues.
