About the Opportunity We are looking for a Business Continuity Specialist to join our Risk Management Team, this is a national role based at our premises at Osborne Naval Shipyard, South Australia. As our Business Continuity Specialist you will assist ASC leadership to anticipate, prepare for, respond and adapt to sudden disruptions caused by crisis events. The Business Continuity Specialist will lead the ASC Business Continuity and Crisis Management Program to ensure recovery of critical business activities in the event of a disruption, minimising the impact to ASC and its customer requirements.
Responsibilities Reporting to the Head of Risk Management, you will be responsible for the review/drive/improvement of the Business Continuity and Crisis Management Framework and programs and general risk support activities. This includes facilitating business impact assessments, business continuity planning, training and scenario testing within this context to minimise threats and make use of opportunities.
You will collaborate with the ASC emergency response group and risk coordinator network to facilitate and review crisis scenarios, business impact assessments, business continuity and crisis management plans, research new emerging risks, training and awareness and testing & notification system administration.
About you You will have a Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Finance or Engineering.
You will have additional Risk management certifications and a minimum of 5 years in experience in Business Continuity and Crisis Management, along with effective problem-solving skills, experience engaging and managing multiple stakeholders, impeccable communication skills, and thrive in a collaborative team environment. As a member of the Corporate Risk Management Team, this position is also critical in the promotion of risk and compliance culture across our processes and activities.
Eligibility This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
