We strive to make rational decisions both operationally and when making investments.About the Role:The Business Analyst plays an important role in providing accountability across the business, as well as supporting operational and executive decision makers. The role also plays an important link between the finance and farm teams, providing important production context for financial reports.Working out of our Wagga based office, the role will work closely with the Commercial Manager, but also with the CEO, CFO and Financial Controller.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Write the weekly market summary across the commodities MHPF grows, covering both short- and long-term drivers of supply & demand. Maintain and update weekly price series of key commodities.Complete financial analysis of business opportunities as required, including enterprise system change, investments in new plant/infrastructure, acquisition of new farms, etc.Build analysis templates to help operational staff make key decisions, such as livestock trading, animal performance, pasture improvement, and land development.Complete and consolidate annual farm reports for the executive team, including emission reports, operational KPI's, and inception returns.Maintain key operational spreadsheets, supporting their use across the business, and train farm and finance staff when required.Build operational tools to improve efficiency and sustain accurate and timely information flow throughout the business.Maintain, implement, train, and administer key operational software (Mobble/Farm Simple/Cibo Labs/MYOB advanced).About the Candidate:Ideally, you will have an analytical and numeric-driven mindset. You have a passion for agriculture but feel at home crunching numbers in Excel. You feel rewarded when you help provide important financial context to decision makers. You can easily build rapport with rurally based colleagues and have an eye for detail. You enjoy putting together spreadsheets but prefer to understand the context behind them.Tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a similar field are required.
