Business Analyst We have an exciting opportunity within the Business Improvement department for an enthusiastic and driven person who is looking to take the next step in their career at Rosebery Mine in the role of Business Analyst.
Reporting to the Superintendent Business Planning, this role will involve you in site operations improvement projects across all departments.
The role will be responsible for coordinating the site's MMG Value Optimisation program supporting the Competitiveness Improvement Program for optimising productivity and analysing value chain constraints and cost improvements.
Additionally, this role will support and develop Rosebery's suite of PowerBI dashboards and reports.
Role to lead site Operations improvement projects at Rosebery in Mining, Mine Technical Services, Processing, and Maintenance and Engineering departments, and other work as directed by the Department Manager.
This role is based on a 5/2, 4/3 DIDO residential roster.
Competencies, qualifications and skills: An unwavering commitment to workplace safety and expertise in establishing cultures and systems that embed safety awareness. Well-developed knowledge of production process engineering and optimisation. Extensive knowledge of the mining and processing processes and control systems. Tertiary qualification in Mining, Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering with 5+ years' experience in a technical Mining operations role. Knowledge and experience in Lean Six Sigma and/or Theory of Constraints or similar, preferably certified. Proven ability in reporting and data display and analytics using PowerBI, Excel, SQL databases and other similar tools. Key responsibilities will include: Identification of constraints within the value chain and significant gaps to budget/forecast in Operations performance results and determination of areas in need of improvement. Preparation and management of plans for site Operations improvement projects. Preparation and delivery of regular progress reports for improvement projects and supporting data analytics. Delivery of projected improvement outcomes into MMG's integrated business planning program. Lead/facilitate/support improvement projects in collaboration with the relevant area owners. Delivery of additional and maintenance of existing site digital reporting projects through PowerBI, Site Displays and other reporting platforms. Support the business improvement department and department area owners with data analytics and reporting. Successful delivery of Competitiveness Improvement Program including monthly Value Optimisation Program updates. What we offer: A safety-first culture.
