The opportunity
We are currently looking for a Business Analyst at a middle to senior level to add to our rapidly growing business in Melbourne. Our consultants are engaged at Enterprise clients and Government agencies, on projects undergoing large scale business and digital transformation.
You will bring a can-do attitude and a consultative nature along with excellent communication and presentation skills. You will be adaptable and possess the ability to build rapport with clients and key stakeholders.
Role and responsibilities: Produce business analysis artefacts such as user requirements and functional specifications for the migration of existing systems.Analyse legacy applications and provide assistance, and recommendations on the migration approach.Identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outlining business impacts.Participate in the development of options to resolve identified issues, including related documentation for the approved resolution.In conjunction with business users and other project staff, ensure migration is fit for purpose and meets legislative, policy, procedural and user requirements.Provide input to solution designs.Participate in testing stages - including Test Case Review, System Test, Systems Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing.Adhere to project schedules.Attend project meetings and document reviews, where appropriate.Provide Task Progress reports, as required.Provide post implementation support, as required.Required experience: Ideally industry experience within the Government sector.Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience with business analysis and process modelling.Experience with the preparation of user document requirements and functional specifications.Analytical mindset, with attention to detail.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Client relationships, team, and people management skills.Organised and methodical in their work approach.Experience with Oracle environments.Ability to interpret legislation, policies, and procedures.Ability to work in a project team, deliver within agreed schedules and collaborate with solution architects, test analysts, application developers and project management teams.Works well within a team and autonomously.Experience in system integration, functional and non-functional testing.Experience in using SQL reporting tools to extract data for analysis and test purposes.Experience in the logging and tracking of defects.Benefits: Social functions each month for staff to get back to base, network with peers and have fun.Competitive paid parental leave is available for eligible employees.
