The role
Join our team and be pivotal in shaping the implementation of Queensland Health's Health Outcome Framework. We are seeking a Business Analyst with healthcare expertise to drive the development and implementation of outcomes, indicators, and measures that will redefine patient care. You'll work on a large-scale information management project that navigates complex environments and collaborates with clinicians, consumers, and leadership across the government and health sectors.
This role demands a keen eye for detail, strong adherence to Queensland Health standards, and a commitment to ethical decision-making. You'll provide strategic and operational advice, oversee Business Process Modelling, and ensure smooth collaboration across projects. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is crucial to foster communication and drive project success. Maintaining high service quality and adhering to Queensland Health policies, including occupational health and safety standards, is essential. Ethical decision-making aligned with Queensland Public Service values is crucial, as is upholding human resource practices like equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination. You'll need to collaborate effectively with clinicians, stakeholders, and leadership to clearly define and communicate health outcomes through precise documentation and reporting.

The successful person
To excel in this position, you should have demonstrated experience in leading and managing business analysis activities for large-scale, complex IM programs or projects within the health sector, with a strong emphasis on statistical and data collection domains being highly advantageous (SFIA Skill: BUAN/BUSA: Level 5). Additionally, a deep understanding and application of business analysis frameworks is essential, with preference for experience aligned with BABOK Version 2.0, along with the ability to advise on appropriate techniques, methodologies, and tools (SFIA Skill: METL: Level 5). Furthermore, you must have exceptional skills in negotiation, consultation, facilitation, and communication, with a background in managing complex program/project environments. Experience in consultancy or the ability to quickly acquire consultancy skills is also required. A proven track record in change management, particularly in complex organisational settings, is critical to ensure smooth transitions and successful adoption of new processes or frameworks.
