Our Federal Government Client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst .
This is a long-term contract role initially for 12 months
with 12-month extensions.
You have the option to work in any of their state offices (ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, TAS, VIC, WA).
Subject to negotiations with the line manager, hybrid working arrangements in line with their current policy are available.
Responsibilities: Develop a traceability framework ensuring project deliverables link to business outcomes via clear and concise business and technical requirements.
Elicit and document business and technical requirements that align with the Data & Analytics transformation program's strategy and goals.
Analyse and document business process and data flows to provide context for both current and future states.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, facilitating workshops, meetings, and working groups to ensure appropriate involvement in the development of business and technical requirements.
Review and provide feedback on business and technical design documents, ensuring alignment with expected business outcomes.
Contribute to the design and implementation of solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should have: Demonstrated expertise leading business and technical requirement development and validation in large-scale business data and analytics transformation programs.
Experience with implementing Cloud Data Platforms and/or Analytics applications, including data architecture (e.g., Data Models, ETL, data governance, security).
Expertise in documenting data and process flows to analyse and provide context for business and technical requirements.
Ability to gather, analyse, and translate business data into actionable insights.
Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Practical experience with Agile Delivery frameworks, including developing Initiatives, Epics, User Stories, and other documentation.
Desirable Skills: It is desirable if you have: Experience working with diverse project teams, in-house development, and vendors to deploy complex, integrated technologies and effect business change.
Experience as a scrum master.
Experience with the SAS Viya 4 platform.
Proficient data analysis skills (e.g., SQL, Python).
Experience working in data and analytics business areas.
