The Business Analyst is a member of the Business Lending Operations (BLO) Portfolio & Change (P&C) team and will be reporting to the Senior Manager, Change Delivery.
The Business Analyst is accountable to manage both internally and externally led projects including technology solutions, enabling Westpac to achieve its strategic goals, business benefits and outcomes.
The Business Analyst will have strong analytical and stakeholder management capabilities and experience, proven team performance.
The Business Analyst will partner with the P&C Leadership Team and the broader BLO Leadership Team and must be able to identify and articulate impacts to business process.
The role also entails management of risk and engagement with relevant teams in Group Operations.
The Business Analyst must be able to demonstrate strong stakeholder partnership, achieving financial, business and risk and compliance outcomes.
The key focus of this role is to: Managed project as assigned to ensure smooth delivery with key operational and risk aspects defined Represent the business at stakeholder meetings Maintain discipline in meeting key project milestones Support the Senior Manager, Change Delivery and BLO Portfolio & Change with all communications needs Work with leadership to document the business & people strategy and track outcomes Liaise with Group Operations (GO) and Line Of Business (LOB) representatives on business requirements as they relate to BLO Portfolio & Change including availability of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) Project/program governance Risk and issue management Stakeholder management What's in it for me?

What do I need?
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Solid understanding of the retail banking and financial services market in Australia – challenges, trends, competitive & regulatory environment A strong track record of change experience with up to 3 years demonstrable experience in managing highly complex change initiatives with a proven ability to successfully transition people and the business from a 'program' mode to BAU.
Sound experience implementing governance and reporting protocols Strong strategic thinking, prioritisation, relationship building and influencing skills Analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage performance independently and achieve high performance outcomes Demonstrable experience developing and implementing operations strategy and developing the case for critical initiative funding Tertiary or relevant professional qualifications would be preferable Significant and demonstrable experience and knowledge in banking and finance industry & products as well as the regulatory, financial, and operational risk environment What's it like to work there?
