About the Team
The Fraud Fusion Taskforce is committed to improving payment integrity in various government programs by preventing and reducing fraud, including serious organised crime and systemic fraud. The Taskforce works collaboratively with law enforcement, regulators, and other partner agencies, focusing on intelligence sharing and coordinated responses. The division's responsibilities include delivering intelligence, managing tip-off processes, running integrity campaigns, and conducting fraud investigations.
The Intelligence & Analytics Branch optimises the use of data and information relevant to fraud and integrity. It handles analytics, reporting, and management of intelligence products such as risk vulnerability registers, fraud case data, and tip-offs. The branch plays a crucial role in processing referrals containing integrity concerns and ensuring data quality across the fraud case management system.
About the Role
As an APS6 Business Analyst, you will operate with limited direction to perform complex tasks guided by legislation, policies, and established methodologies. This role offers autonomy and requires initiative and sound judgment to apply practices that achieve business and integrity-related outcomes.
Your responsibilities will involve producing and interpreting data reports, providing analytical insights, supporting case management systems, and contributing to governance, risk, and compliance processes. You will also be required to engage with stakeholders and translate business metrics to optimise outcomes and improve performance.
Produce reports, interpret data, and analyse results using standard statistical techniques.
Coordinate divisional and branch reporting to monitor improvement and performance outcomes.
Develop business functional requirements aligned with legislative and policy environments.
Translate business metrics to support internal stakeholders in driving efficiency and performance improvements.
Design and deliver workshops, communications, and consultations for complex systems and information sharing.
Establish governance and compliance processes, tracking branch and divisional performance against plans and targets.
Implement and maintain audit and risk controls and assist with issue resolution.
Support data quality monitoring and help develop reporting structures for the Fraud Fusion Taskforce.
Conduct day-to-day analytical tasks and manage projects related to data analysis and ad hoc requests.
About you

Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage expectations and deliver tailored solutions.
Strong time management, planning, and organisational skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
Strong team-working skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
Must be an
Australian Citizen.
