Business Analyst A06

An opportunity is available within Qld government for a Senior Business Analyst and will be responsible for providing high-level financial support and advice.Within this dynamic department, no two days are the same offering a variety of project work, scenario planning, analysis and forecasting to improve financial performance.You will work closely with the Manager, Business Services, and oversee key financial activities including budgeting, financial governance, and strategic planning.This is a 3 month contract with the option to extend.Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation and management of annual budget estimates.Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to senior management.Coordinate and reconcile claims for program costs and grant funding.Offer expert financial advice to improve performance and accountability.Provide advice on expenditure and revenue accounting targets and activities including management of complex budgets Manage a small team to ensure effective delivery of business services.Skills and experience Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.Excellent financial analysis and scenario planning abilities.Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.Commitment to continuous improvement and sound governance practices.Strategic leaderships and insightful decision making to support business objectives.You must hold the right to work within Australia to apply for this role.
