The Role Over the course of 12 months as a Business Administration Trainee, you will learn and develop a range of skills to confidently communicate with a range of people and understand administrative operations of an organisation. This traineeship offers you a foundation in front-end business operations, customer relations, and providing administrative support.
The skills and knowledge you develop during the course of this traineeship can lead to a rewarding career in clerical or administration roles.

With the support of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work – First Start Program Government funding, Council is offering the below Business Traineeship, commencing in 2025.
To be considered for this traineeship, applicants must: Be aged 15 years or older and no longer at school (at the time of commencement of apprenticeship or traineeship). Be able to meet citizenship, residency, and visa requirements to undertake an apprenticeship or traineeship. Not currently registered as an apprentice or trainee with another employer. Not have a qualification that is equal to or higher than the qualification you would receive by undertaking Council's apprenticeship or traineeship. Not hold a Certificate III or higher in an unrelated field completed within the last 7 years (unless obtained during high school). In addition, under the program, applicants are encouraged to apply from the below identified disadvantaged groups: Young people (aged 15-24 years) Long-term unemployed jobseekers. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Mature-age job seekers (45 years or older). Migrants and refugees from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. People with disabilities. Displaced workers. Women re-entering the workforce. Veterans, ex-ADF personnel, and their families. Skills, Experience and Qualifications What you'll need to succeed as a Trainee at Council?
