This is an afternoon-shift role, starting at 1pm Monday to Friday, mostly through to about 10.30pm, generally finishing earlier on Fridays and later in the busiest times of the year.
As you'd expect in a team leader role, you will be hands-on, working with others in and around the team. For that reason, there are a couple of things you will need, including:
Truck driving license - HR minimum, with a view to upgrading later - if you need help with that, let us know. Basic computer skills, including Excel and e-mail, with a view to learning other logistics-specific software - we can teach you that. Planning and communication skills. A positive can-do attitude - although the team is skilled and knows what they need to do, they will still look to you for leadership. Clearly, you'll need some experience in transport and/or logistics, but once that's ticked off we're every bit as interested in your potential. This role is ideal for building or growing your career in transport and logistics, with pathways into planning and management available if that's what you're looking for.
