NSW Health has established a Single Digital Patient Record (SDPR) which will provide a secure, holistic and integrated view of the care a patient receives across the NSW Health system.
The SDPR program will transform how people experience and deliver care across the state, providing benefits for the people of NSW and the NSW Health workforce regardless of their location and role.
It will bring the state healthcare system together, unifying access to patient clinical information in one view. This will help to provide connected, transparent and safe care for any person at any public healthcare setting statewide. All NSW Health care teams and clinicians, no matter where they work, will securely access the same information about a patient in real time from one source.
About the role The Single Digital Patient Record Implementation Authority (SDPRIA) has been established to coordinate the implementation of the SDPR across NSW Health.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Functional Specialist Reporting to work within the SDPRIA.
Reporting into the Data and Reporting lead, you will be responsible for managing the review and analysis of the organisation's business intentions, services, processes and information needs to identify changes that lead to business improvements. This position provides the bridge between eHealth NSW's clients and technical staff, so that the client's requirements are successfully implemented in systems. The key role is to prepare detailed program specification documentation which describes client business workflow, data and application functionality to facilitate development of reports and application changes to meet business needs.
About you We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with: Experience in business analysis for Reporting Systems and/or Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing, including documenting business rules and proven ability in writing technical program specifications. Experience working within the health sector with a strong understanding of clinical processes relevant to hospital and community health services and the associated IT systems utilised such as Cerner Millennium or other health reporting systems. Demonstrated liaison skills with experience in consulting with end users and subject matter experts to identify, develop, document, validate and endorse the reporting and functional requirements of their business to ensure successful delivery of end user reports/software. Experience in testing and supporting user acceptance testing, ensuring the programs meet the requirements and standards as agreed with end users. Excellent organisation skills and experience working in a complex and demanding professional services environment with the capacity to prioritise, multi-task and achieve business goals with a customer focused approach. Exceptional analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
