About the Position An entry requirement for employment with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) is that you must be an Australian citizen. Your role as a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst in the Air Force involves providing critical intelligence that plays a major role in Australia's national defence and assists in operations such as maritime rescue missions. This role requires exceptional discretion and secrecy.
You will be trained to use cutting-edge imagery systems and software to acquire and manage geospatial information provided by aircraft and satellites, producing high-quality graphics and reports concerning military, industrial, and geographical features. Your main tasks will include:
Collection, analysis, and dissemination of geospatial information and imagery intelligence. Working with Air Force Intelligence Officers in reconnaissance and strike mission planning. Preparing intelligence reports in support of a range of ADF operations and for briefing purposes. Maintaining image libraries and intelligence databases. Much of your work will be carried out in modern, air-conditioned offices; though you can expect to be deployed at short notice to locations within Australia and overseas to support both ADF and multi-national operations.

Salary You will earn a starting salary of $51,277 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation when you start your training, which increases as you progress. Upon completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn $77,238 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation.
Location Upon completion of your training in Wagga Wagga, NSW, and RAAF Base Edinburgh, SA, you may be posted to any Air Force Base or other Defence Establishment in Australia, including RAAF Base Amberley or RAAF Base Williamtown.
