Academic Support Unit | UniSC Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs Position Type: Casual appointment
Salary: Level 6 - $59.50 per hour, plus up to 11.5% employer superannuation
The Opportunity Join UniSC as a casual technician in our Sport and Exercise Teaching Facility! We're looking for skilled individuals with a Sport and Exercise background to support our dynamic Academic Support Unit. You will assist with the delivery of practical classes, working autonomously to prepare, set out and operate Sport and Exercise teaching equipment and labs; demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic environment, including handling the movement, cleaning, and storage of equipment, which may be physically demanding; plan and implement efficient and safe work practices, managing tasks such as testing, restocking, cleaning, and calibrating teaching and research equipment around a full timetable of classes. About you You excel in organisational and time-management skills, effortlessly managing varied tasks and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. Your strong communication abilities enable you to collaborate effectively and handle responsibilities with precision. With a proactive mindset and an engaged approach, you thrive in positive work environments, bringing energy, focus, and enthusiasm to everything you do.
You will possess: experience or qualification in Sports and Exercise Science; equivalent experience of practical support within a teaching environment; an active commitment to client service and a well-developed understanding of using Microsoft and Apple products; well-developed organisational and time-management skills; effective communication skills; flexible and engaged approach to varied tasks and the ability to embrace a positive work environment.
