Position Overview: Deliver a high-quality evidence-based alcohol and other drug treatment and counselling service with a trauma-informed focus. Provide a specialist assessment and treatment service for people with multiple and complex needs, including co-morbid alcohol and other drugs and mental health issues, in accordance with discipline-specific skills and abilities.
Act as a consultant to other agencies regarding the support and management of clients with alcohol and other drug needs and promote community awareness in relation to alcohol and other drugs.
Actively support, contribute to, and participate in ongoing quality assurance programs, including approved research, incident reporting and evaluation, internal audits, and policy and procedure review, as well as the development, implementation, and evaluation of specialised alcohol and other drug psychosocial treatment programs.

You will need: Knowledge of contemporary evidence-based practice used in the treatment and prevention of alcohol and other drug dependence, including comprehensive assessment, the harm minimisation framework, therapeutic interventions, and prevention activities. Knowledge of and ability to develop, monitor, and implement quality assurance and improvement activities and/or research. Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to provide treatment reports. The Team: The Alcohol and Drug Service is a dynamic multidisciplinary team that includes outpatient counselling and pharmacotherapy for people seeking treatment for their alcohol and other drug use. In this position, you will be part of our highly skilled and supportive Community Counselling team, providing assessment and treatment to people who have developed substance use disorders, as well as providing clinical input to the broader Alcohol and Drug Service team. We strive to be a trauma-informed service and support ongoing professional development.
Details of appointment: Permanent, full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $106,966 to $123,013 per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
