We currently have 3 major coal producing assets (Poitrel, South Walker Creek, and Isaac Plains Complex) located in the Bowen and Surat basins.
You will be based initially at our Poitrel mine but will have the opportunity to further develop your skills and experience across our other mines in the Bowen Basin.
Job Description
As Senior Mine Geologist, you will report to the Superintendent Mine Geology and will play an integral role in the ongoing success of our operations.
Typically, this will include providing geological input into site operations, identifying geological uncertainties, managing resource risks on operating mine sites to an acceptable level, and providing technical support, engagement, and project solutions to mine sites to meet productivity and cost targets.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Geoscience.
Experience working in open pit mining operations (great, but we will also consider Geologists who are keen to learn).
Understanding of value drivers in large open pit mining operations and how these apply to planning decisions.
Familiarity with Projects Execution, Point Studio, ArcGIS, and Vulcan preferred.
