Role Overview : We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in our Perth CBD Office. Reporting directly to the Engineering Project Director, the Lead / Principal Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing electrical engineering projects. This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to lead a team.
Key Responsibilities : Lead and coordinate the electrical engineering team to deliver projects on time and within budget. Provide technical expertise and guidance in electrical engineering design and implementation. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure project deliverables align with client requirements. Conduct detailed design reviews and propose improvements in cost, time, and quality. Prepare and modify electrical drawings as necessary. Ensure that construction, installation, and testing activities comply with specifications and safety standards. Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering issues as they arise. Experience and Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Proven experience in a leadership role within electrical engineering, familiarity with contract management, documentation, and reporting. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams. Experience in project management and using engineering tools and workflows. Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with both colleagues in the Technical & Engineering group and non-engineering personnel across the organisation. Experience working in a professional engineering environment, using current engineering tools and workflows to efficiently complete tasks. Previous experience in estimation and measurement methods. Interpretation of all drawings: P&ID's, SLD's, schematics, and termination drawings. Planning and project management techniques. Desirable Skills : Master's degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contracting.
