Job description : About the Role
Whitehaven Coal has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Senior People and Culture Business Partner to join our Blackwater People and Culture team leading a small team of two. This role offers a 9-day fortnight roster being based at our Blackwater operation, reporting to the People and Culture Manager, Blackwater.
What You'll Do
You will be the critical interface between the Whitehaven Operations (Blackwater) and the People and Culture on-site function. This role's primary responsibility is to support site managers and frontline leaders with core people processes, culture and engagement, whilst managing general HR activities for Blackwater including the opportunity to partner with specialist areas on various projects.
What You'll Bring
Minimum of 5 years generalist HR experience in heavy industry
Experience leading a small team
Track record in successfully delivering key HR initiatives
Strong ER and performance management experience
Proven experience with coaching and developing a wide array of stakeholders
Ability to contribute to the development of a positive and collaborative organisational culture
Strong stakeholder relationship capability
Project management skills and SuccessFactors experience would be desirable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
