Based at Ingleburn and reporting to the Quality Manager, the primary objective of this role is to ensure all food safety and quality activities and tasks are carried out in compliance with all set standards and specifications.
Key Accountabilities include:
Conduct HACCP reviews and HACCP validations. Conduct and support internal and external audits. Work collaboratively with all stakeholders across the site to develop and ensure compliance on production, food safety, quality and WHS processes and strive for continuous improvements. Support Quality team to drive site GMP compliance and improvements. Provide, develop and conduct training in food safety and quality procedures. Manage non-conforming finished product and raw materials including support for root cause analysis, corrective & preventive action. Liaise and drive resolution with suppliers. Investigate consumer complaints. Lead mock recalls and traceability exercises. Develop, review and update Standard Operating Procedures, product and packing specifications. Assist production team with technical support and compliance. Manage calibration and other support programs for an effective Quality Management System. The successful candidate must have:
Appropriately qualified in Food Technology or a related discipline. 5 years quality experience working in food manufacturing; experience in FMCG will be highly regarded. Demonstrated experience or formal training in HACCP Principles & Applications. Good understanding of BRC or similar quality management system. Experience in internal and external audits. Excellent communication skills and a 'can-do' attitude. This is a challenging and fast-paced role which requires a confident person with professionalism and maturity; someone with drive, strong negotiation skills and the ability to effectively interact with all types of personalities.
Flexible working hours are also necessary.
