What You'll Be Doing:
This is an exciting opportunity to obtain an in-depth understanding of the planning framework associated with bush fire protection in New South Wales, as part of the Development Assessment and Planning Team within the NSW Rural Fire Service.
The role offers exposure to bush fire risk assessment related to a range of development on bush fire prone land needing compliance with the legislative, policy and procedural requirements as delegated to the Rural Fire Service.

As our ideal candidate, you'll be able to independently and efficiently manage a high volume of development applications and strategic planning proposals from Local and State Government Authorities.
You will have the ability to research and analyse information to identify and address issues for negotiating outcomes.
You will provide high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders, and have the ability to develop relationships across government agencies to assist and educate industry in providing bush fire outcomes commensurate with the potential risk, standards, mitigation and bush fire protection.
