Project Overview : Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy, Australia's leading natural gas producer.
Job Summary : As Planner / Scheduler, you will work with the project team to prepare schedule data for proposals or contract negotiations. You will apply established unit job hour and pricing data, perform schedule integrations, prepare work logic, identify restraints and potential impacts, develop recovery plans, and evaluate subcontractor schedules for improvements.
Major Responsibilities : Manage planning activities for a small area within a project, including Level 3 and Level 4 schedules. Identify schedule trends for management attention. Analyze data to provide innovative solutions to scheduling challenges. Ensure schedule updates are completed in time to support project reporting requirements. Support project organizational and administrative activities. Review or assist in reviewing proposal provisions related to schedule and material control and develop helping data for contract negotiations. Other responsibilities as designated. Education and Experience Requirements : Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-7 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. Experience on major lump sum projects with direct hire construction strategy is preferred. Experience on LNG projects is preferred. Required Knowledge and Skills : Proactive self-starter with a proven ability to work independently and efficiently. Skilled in oral and written communication. Good knowledge in MS Office Excel is a must; Primavera P6 is preferable. Knowledge of engineering and construction management acquired through specialized instruction or practical experience. Experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, in the field and the home office. Ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision. Additional Information : This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include extensive walking in and around an active construction site, climbing ladders, working at heights, and use of personal fall arrest equipment.
The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products are permitted to be brought to the site.
This position is available to both local and non-local personnel. For non-locals (FIFO / DIDO), the working roster is 3 / 1.
