Position : Engineering Manager – User Access Management
Location : Sydney, Hybrid

We are seeking an Engineering Manager for our global financial services client, to lead user access management for a large-scale financial application (7,000+ applications) and oversee 3 squads. You're a natural people leader who leads with purpose and delivers results. You'll be responsible for delivering secure and scalable access management solutions while guiding and mentoring your team to success. The client's core product has been the foundation of their services for over 20 years, and a key part of your role will be to take the time to fully understand how it works and what it does. You'll need to collaborate closely with your team to assess current processes and identify ways to make them more efficient.
What you'll do : Work 30% hands-on, contributing to coding, troubleshooting, and code reviews Collaborate on architecture and design, maintaining best practices and high-quality standards Automate manual processes to improve efficiency and operational effectiveness Work closely with a Product Owner to prioritise backlogs and ensure delivery of key initiatives Influence stakeholders to gain buy-in for your ideas and drive innovation Lead proof of concept initiatives to enhance system functionality Ensure the access management system is secure, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices What you'll bring : At least 2+ years of experience in identity and access governance, with expertise in solutions like SailPoint Proven experience managing large-scale applications using Java and AWS Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading technical teams and delivering results Expertise in security controls, identity, and access governance What's in it for you : Join one of the most stable and technology-first companies in the financial services sector, a cutting-edge environment with a focus on innovation and long-term success.
