Lead Animator Job Description We are seeking an experienced Lead Animator to join our team at Keywords Studios in Brisbane, Australia.
About the Role This is a high-profile position that requires a talented and skilled animator with excellent leadership skills. As a Lead Animator, you will be responsible for leading a team of 2D Artists and creating high-quality concept art for AAA games.
Main Responsibilities Lead and supervise a high-caliber squad of 2D Artists Demonstrate great versatility and talent in terms of concept and illustration skills Work closely with the Art Director to ensure the growth and wellness of our teams and projects Be an active mentor and role model for the art team Collaborate with directors, managers, and other development partners to define project goals and action plans Communicate and regularly update the status and progress of deliverables Manage bug reports, priority-setting, allocation, and correction Requirements Skilled in standardizing concept sketches that are realistic in style for both background and character art Knowledge of 3Dcoat, Zbrush or other software that increases productivity is an asset Team spirit leading the team members toward cooperation while actively providing support Exhibits intermediate capability to guide and assist junior artists Game art experience: Motivated and passionate about game art with a good understanding of AAA requirements Salary Information The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
