What this job involves: The Engineering Lead will have the overall responsibility to manage the technical facilities, engineering services, and critical environments' day-to-day activities for the assigned sites in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide & Brisbane as well as be the key technical contact for stakeholders and/or clients.
A snapshot of the role: Management of Hard services support team, including Full Site power downs, UPS investigations/repairs, Fire and HVAC asset management, OH&S, Security and Access including critical alarms. Liaison with landlords and clients, scheduling meetings for property events and coordination of activities relating to Legislative maintenance or lease discussions. Coordinate and manage vendor support for soft and hard services as well as IT works and office churns. Planning and Budget requirements for preventative maintenance programs, CAPEX and OPEX cost estimates, tendering quote assessment and Work order approval. Management of service vendors for critical infrastructure maintenance and repairs. Development, reappraisal, and execution of contracts with vendors. Review/approve change management works and PTW, access permits and site inductions. Engaging with services team and providing technical assistance. Sound like you? This is what we're looking for: Min. Bachelor's degree in facilities management, building, business or other related field and/or 5-7 years' experience in facilities, property management, hospitality or related field. In-depth comprehension of critical/data centre environments. Thorough understanding of technical aspects of property (Computer Room Air-conditioning, Chiller system, Fire Protection system, Mechanical & Electrical system, BMS system). Demonstrated experience working in financial or investment banking environment. Knowledge of local occupational health and safety requirements. Knowledge of vendor management for specialized services. Proven capacity to understand and interpret commercial contracts. Strong budget management and financial analysis skills. Demonstrates proactive & professional approach to customer service and stakeholder engagement. Ability to interact with a wide range of client staff, including senior levels. Excellent planning & organizational skills to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines. Analytical, proven ability to solve problems using a quantitative approach.
