About the Role: Aurizon Bulk Central is looking for a high-performing Infrastructure Maintenance Engineer to join the Infrastructure Management team. As an Engineer in the Infrastructure Team, you will lead the Asset Management of Railway Infrastructure throughout Aurizon Bulk Central rail networks within South Australia and Northern Territory.
The role offers an exciting challenge, with over 3000km of railway networks under management maintained from key depot locations at Darwin, Alice Springs, Adelaide, Thevenard, Whyalla, and Port Augusta. In the role, you will report to the Infrastructure Manager and work alongside other Engineers, strategizing and prioritizing infrastructure maintenance and renewals/replacements. You will also work alongside the Track Superintendents to provide guidance and prioritize the delivery of maintenance works and emergency recovery works.
You can expect to spend around 25% of your time in the field, traveling throughout the networks, to assess the condition, defects, failure modes, and requirements of the assets you manage. The remaining time will be office-based.
