About The Role Reporting to the SA Logistics Manager, your role will lead the warehouse operations responsible for distributing Spares Parts, Consumables and Accessories for both internal and external customers and selected overseas markets.
You play a crucial role in ensuring the National Distribution Centre delivers on its lead-time commitment in both inbound & outbound while securing the right cost levels.
Besides the daily operations of a distribution centre, you will together with your team be responsible for continuous improvement activities focusing on productivity & storing optimizations utilizing the newly implemented EWM and ECC system (SAP).
You will lead, coach and develop your direct reports to ensure a constructive and positive workplace environment. This will also involve promoting and maintaining a workplace culture of integrity, diversity and collaboration that celebrates success and encourages innovation.
What You'll Do Drive results through your Team Leaders who will coordinate the work in the daily operations, balancing coaching and guidance to address concerns & gaps to meet customer expectations. Work closely with selected team members Internal and External, focusing on the continuous improvement journey, building on the progress already made with the EWM and ECC system. Coordinate the distribution of spare parts and C&A to various internal and external customers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Monitor and track inbound & outbound deliveries, resolve any issues related to transportation or logistics, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Implement cost-effective strategies focusing on storing optimization, improved productivity & delivery quality. Monitor and control expenditures related to spare parts and C&A procurement, storage, and distribution, in line with the allocated budget. Plan budget and cost objects that are connected to continuous improvements justified by business case and regular maintenance to ensure safety. Report, own and improve the warehouse KPI's spanning across the operation focusing on dispatch performance, inbound on time, productivity, delivery quality, stock take deviations and more. Provide regular updates to Distribution Centre Manager. Generate insights and recommendations based on data analysis to enhance processes and prioritize how they will be addressed. Manage and drive the effective delivery of Projects for the NDC, working cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful business outcomes and project deliverables. Lead process reviews for Spares and C&A to challenge the status quo and lead change within the business to drive profitable growth, innovation and operational excellence. Who You Are You are an experienced Distribution Manager with a proven track record of success in leading a Warehouse / Distribution Centre team.
Experience in EWM (Extended warehouse management) and experience with SAP is highly regarded.
