Position Information The NSW Department of Education serves the community by leading the provision of world-class education. The Department protects young children by regulating preschool and long day care providers. Once children move into school, we provide them with a world-class primary and secondary education. About the Role The Business Manager 2 works with the school principal and school executive and is responsible for the efficient management of the school's business functions including administration, asset management, procurement, finance, and work health and safety. May be required to supervise and lead the school administrative team and supervise non-teaching staff. The role may lead or manage projects or business functions in collaboration with other school staff and additionally may be required to manage the work of contractors from time to time.
Essential Requirements Working with Children Check Clearance Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal Education and Training policy. Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and work effectively as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to undertake and manage financial and accounting functions including the use of computerised financial / administrative systems. Well-developed oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact with school staff, students and members of the school community. Conditions This is an ACIP (Above Centrally Identified Position) permanent non-teaching position established through school funds. The successful candidate's continued appointment to this position will be subject to the continuity of this funding, the ongoing requirement for the role and the educational needs of the school. When accepting the position, the successful applicant will be indicating their acceptance of the terms and conditions attached to this appointment. Should the funding or the requirement for the position cease, the officer will receive priority consideration for placement at an alternative location.
