Requisition ID : REQ533521 We are advertising for both a permanent and temporary Staff Specialist roles. The permanent role is up to 1FTE and the temporary role is up to 0.6FTE until 1 October 2026.

The specialist will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the department / service. Responsibilities : Provide expert medical assessment and management of patients. Uphold a high standard of care for all patients and families. Work effectively and harmoniously with medical and other health services colleagues. Demonstrate commitment to teaching and mentoring junior staff. Participate in quality improvement activities relevant to the specialty. Engage in research relevant to the role and needs of the Department. Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA). Fellowship of The Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) or equivalent. Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring / audit practices. Proven capacity and / or experience in the provision of effective high-quality service in the specialty. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Commitment to provision of a high standard of clinical care in the public sector setting. This is a Category A position. All Category A applicants must read and understand NSW Health Policy PD2023_022. Successful applicants must provide vaccination history and pathology as part of the application documentation.
