About the Team
The department provides payroll services to 13 other Australian Government agencies through its Shared Services Hub. The Hub's client engagement team manages the formal stakeholder engagement and communications with its client agencies (government to government).
The Opportunity
We are seeking candidates with experience and skills in government stakeholder engagement, professional communication, meeting facilitation, and process improvement. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to engage internal stakeholders to achieve outcomes for client agencies. Experience with document management systems, service request systems, and basic design software would be desirable.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have broad experience in professional communication and stakeholder engagement. An understanding of the Australian Public Service would be an advantage as the Hub's stakeholders are government client agencies.
What You Will Do
Our successful candidate will:
Promote a culture within the Hub that is focused on service to client agencies. Stay attuned to client agency satisfaction with services provided by the Hub. Recommend strategic directions for the Hub's client engagement and consider wider agency implications when making decisions. Manage a small team responsible for: Organising meetings with our government client agencies including secretariat and chairing duties. Producing a Hub newsletter and other business communications. Work with a level of independence, under broad direction, with a concurrent need to resolve issues and deliver quality outcomes. Eligibility
To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens. Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
Notes
Experience using basic design software, Microsoft Teams, and document management systems would be beneficial.
A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette. The department does currently offer flexible work opportunities for many roles. This vacancy is Canberra, ACT based, although flexible or remote work arrangements may be considered.
