Our Traralgon care home is a modern facility located in the East Latrobe Valley on the northeast side of Traralgon, a short drive from the centre of town. It consists of 120 beds, with various care units. Our primary goal is placing our focus on the health, lifestyle and well-being of our residents. Here's what you'll do: Be the fun facilitator: You'll help residents explore their interests, both within the care home and beyond. From art classes and gardening clubs to day trips and movie nights, you'll make sure there's something for everyone. Social butterfly extraordinaire: Whether it's a lively game of bingo or a quiet chat over afternoon tea, you'll be the friendly face who connects residents and fosters a sense of belonging. More than just activities: You'll be a supportive companion, assisting with daily living like mealtimes and outings, and offering emotional support to those with cognitive impairment or mental health needs. Resident champion: Your voice matters! You'll gather feedback through surveys and family conferences to ensure activities truly hit the mark. Team player: You'll collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress, and escalate any concerns. Hygiene hero: Keeping things clean and safe is essential. You'll follow infection control protocols and maintain a tidy environment. Catering crewmate: You'll lend a hand with plating and serving meals, adhering to food safety standards and monitoring resident preferences. What we're looking for: First Aid Certificate (or willing to get one) Australian driver's licence desirable Your passion for enriching lives is the most important qualification! Excellent communication: You connect easily with residents and colleagues, building trust and rapport. Team player: You collaborate effectively and support others with a smile.
