With the support of Australia's largest personal insurers, we are seeking to grow even further in 2024.
This growth has presented an exciting opportunity for a Building Estimator to support our Victorian Regional Team servicing Bairnsdale, Gippsland and the surrounding region.
Reporting to the Estimating Manager, this role will be suited to a self-motivated person, who has excellent organisational skills, demonstrable building knowledge and a proven carpentry background.
As a key representative of JP Flynn and our insurer customers, your main responsibilities will include: Carrying out property inspections to ascertain and verify cause of damage.Providing accurate building assessment reports, fixed priced quoting, scope of works and estimated costs.Compile scope of works and competitive pricing on quoted building repairs.Meet internal and external KPI's.Manage time and resources to ensure timely completion and submission of all required documentation.As the ideal applicant, you will have; Carpentry trade qualificationMinimum 3 - 5 years' experience in the building / insurance, residential building sectors or Insurance AssessingProven customer service skillsExcellent time management, reporting and communication skillsProven ability to manage multiple competing prioritiesTrade qualification preferredAble to work autonomously and as part of a teamHigh computer literacy and experience with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) suite such as Prime EcosystemHold a current and valid motor vehicle licenseIn this position you must: Be an effective communicator, who can professionally represent our long established building group.You demonstrate high level of customer service and can identify the needs and expectation of our customer and/or client and respond to it in an effective and timely manner.Possess a real passion for our industry and adds complementary skills and contributes valuable ideas, opinions and feedback.Genuinely care about customer service.Previous insurance estimating experience preferred, but not essential.
The successful applicant will undergo full training, tailored to level of experience and building background.
A fully maintained vehicle, laptop/tablet and smart phone, along with other tools of trade will be provided.
